I'll overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
