The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Fighters Table
Since the launch of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master the talented storyteller has kept viewers on edge with deep backstory, a diverse cast of heroes, and a exciting storyline showcasing angels, fiends, and dark forces expanding in strength within Dol-Makjar.
Heads-up: Key plot points for Episode 3 of this adventure lie ahead.
The Combat-Oriented Party Revealed
The third episode finished on a huge suspense moment and introduced the initial group of characters who will branch out from the main group to begin their separate journey, distinct from the additional parties.
The combat-focused team includes the determined fighter (portrayed by Travis Willingham), the agile character (Laura), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).
Why Split the Party?
With an extensive roster, it was clear from the start that keeping everyone at one table would be unworkable.
That’s why, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Introduction, intertwining the personal journeys before dividing into three separate parties: Fighters, Strategists, and Questers.
What Defines the Warrior Group
As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who enjoy a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven story mode where non-violent answers are few and far between.
Initially, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might seem mismatched, but the actions of episode 3 show why these five characters are best suited for the Soldiers table.
Why They Must Go
For one thing, the party has a clear idea where to head next after a brutal first encounter with the antagonists.
Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose passing initiated the narrative’s action—used the foes for his own means, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, striking Thimble, and stealing all the enchanted items to dispose of.
The traitor then settled his obligations and ran away to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, above the city, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.
Personal Motivations
Moreover, each character has a personal reason to exit the urban setting:
- The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, wants revenge.
- Kattigan has experience in the region and cautions that it is a nasty environment.
- Tyranny and Wicander, having resisted his relatives’ demands to execute the target and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
- Yet, their position as important members in the powerful family could help the party enter places they usually can’t.
- Furthermore, The grateful character swore a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his rescue and will now go with him anywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
In addition, all of them are hunted by the powers that rule the city for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind dangerous:
- The agile adventurer and The hero are known criminals.
- The strong figure and The cleric betrayed the powerful family and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
- Teor is targeted for elimination by the family.
This results in them few options but to travel to the northern region in quest for Casimir.
What’s Next?
From episode three’s post-show segment, we find out that the warrior group will not appear in the upcoming installment, leaving the rest of the players to assemble the Questers and Schemers parties.
Fans can look forward to finding out which adventurers will be in which group in Campaign 4’s concluding setup installment, streaming live on next week.
